Week 3 Review

Written by Wendi

This weekend provided us with some laughable upsets and disappointing "non-upsets”.  Really Texas Tech?  You had one job..…..But nooooooooooooooo.  No one likes Texas and no they are not back.  That game was a typical Big 12 shoot out with no defense what so ever.  Speaking of Big 12, Oklahoma lost to Kansas St. for the second year in a row.  Not sure what team I would consider the "best” in that conference.  To earn a spot in the championship, one of them will have to get serious.

After some predicting Army to upset Cincinnati, Cincinnati was only leading 10-7 at the half.  Some of us started to get a nervous for a bit and maybe Noah and Sammy knew what they were talking about by going high.  NOT!  Cincinnati was able to pull away in the second half to win 24-10.

It appears Bama is still ...

Week 2 Review

Written by Wendi

Things got a little more exciting this week as more teams joined in on the schedule.  This week will get even more interesting as the SEC joins in on the action.  The B1G decided to start an 8 week schedule starting late October.  Not sure how all of that will factor in on championship talk with the other conferences playing more games.  But it seems as if Nebraska is not happy with the tough schedule they were given.  Because they are voicing their grievances about giving up a couple of their "sure-wins”.  The Pac 12  and the MAC have yet to weigh in on any future games this year but it is just a matter of time before they do.  There were some surprises this weekend for the games and pickems.  Let’s take a look.

Let’s start with the BIG ...

Week 1 Review

Well, who wants a refund because I think the game is rigged?  I think with David and Mike in charge to where they can manipulate the game, it creates an unfair advantage.  All I know is that Me and Sam want a refund and will go play with ESPN.  I mean what are the odds that David and Noah are in the lead and me and Sam are at the bottom?  Who else agrees?  What a first week to start.  It sure is not the same without all of the teams playing.  And it definitely is not the same without fans in the stadiums.  Hoping the B1G and Pac 12 change their minds.  There was a rumor floating around that there may have been a revote for the B1G to play late October possibly yesterday.

On To pick’ems…

Apparently the BIG 12 let ...

2020 has not been the year that anyone could have predicted, but now that College Football has begun, we may be able to get back to some normalcy. Granted, it may not look like what we’re used to seeing. The Big 10 and Pac 12 have canceled fall sports…for now. Select universities won’t be allowing fans into stadiums at least temporarily but most are only allowing a very small percentage of fans into stadiums. Be forewarned though. There’s always the possibility that once College Football kicks off, it can also come to abrupt halt due to virus concerns and the safety of student athletes.

But don’t let all of this scare you from taking part in the annual Hall Family Pick’ems Contest. Since ESPN couldn’t get their act together, we decided to take it upon ourselves to move forward with a Pick’ems contest and created our very own website so you ...
