Jesus is here! After taking a look at the events leading up to and His birth, we can now focus on what happened after His birth.

Luke 2:21   Hew was not actually named Jesus (as prophesied) until he was circumcised 8 days after birth.

Luke 2: 22:24  He was brought to Jerusalem to offer a sacrifice according to law

Luke 2: 25:35   Jesus is recognized by a man name Simeon in the temple after His birth.

Luke 2: 36:38    Also woman named Anna confirms Jesus is the Messiah.

Matthew 2: 1-11 The wise men (Magi) are sent from King Herod to find Jesus. The Bible refers Jesus to now being a young child. Could have been between 1-2 years of age.

Matthew 2: 12-15 Joseph takes Jesus and Mary to Egypt after the visit from the wise man.

Matthew 2: 19-23 They return To Nazareth after the death of Herod.

 I purposely only summarized these events. They are great reads and sometimes we overlook them after the birth and Christmas time. These events are very important to know and understand what all was going on at the time. Joseph and Mary were always aware of Moses’s law and was constantly adhering to it. God was still communicating with people regarding Jesus and His safety. These events set the pathway to Jesus’s future. They also teach us about being tuned into God and be aware of our surroundings for our own safety. Even though God Is "God”, We can clearly see that man can disrupt what God is trying to do, doesn’t mean God’s work won’t get done, but could set it back and severely effect those who God has chosen.
