Halland City, Halland – According to Halland Government officials, the leader of Evelynland may be receiving political pressure from inside the country to step down and allow someone else the opportunity to fix the economic issues plaguing the country. However, the Hall Republic is possibly spearheading the inside pressure by committing political espionage.
It’s public knowledge that Evelynland has loaned Hall Republic monetary funds in the past which have not been paid in full. In addition, Hall Republic has not paid for the collateral damage from the Evelynland invasion over a decade ago. With the Evelynland economy reeling, the country has no choice but to look at other candidates to lead them out of their financial crisis.
The leading candidate to replace the current leader is Dixie, who has strong ties to the Hall Republic which prompted the Halland Government to investigate.
An elite team from Halland’s Special Operations have been conducting surveillance along the border of Evelynland and Hall Republic and made a startling discovery. Covert Operatives from Hall Republic have been observed crossing into Evelynland (pictured above) and conducting their own reconnaissance on Government officials inside Evelynland.
The Halland Government fears that a political coup is imminent in which the Hall Republic will be directly responsible.
If the Hall Republic is able to assist in the overthrow of the current Evelynland regime and get an ally elected in Evelynland, then Halland is at risk on two fronts.
The pressure is on General Amongstus and his staff of advisors on how they will combat this considering this does not meet the requirements for military intervention.
"It’s not like we can go in and start taking out each Hall Republic operative inside Evelynland’ s country. It would be a violation of international law and potentially be a violation of the Evelynland Treaty Accord,” stated one Halland official.
Whatever action is taken, it should take into account that Hall Republic has always been waiting on an opportunity to seize Evelynland. If they couldn’t do it militarily, then the political route may be their only option.
