Halland City, Halland – In a bold statement over Halland Television earlier today, General Amongstus called on the Hall Nations outside of the Hallsaw Pact to view the execution of Halland soldiers as a war crime.
"To the Hall Nations, justice has not been served to those that have executed Halland Military Personnel. A Crime has been committed and those that committed the crime need to be brought to justice. I am calling on each of the Hall Nations to view this heinous act as a war crime. Whoever was responsible for this crime needs to be tried as a war criminal. This includes those that were in a position of authority, such as the Hallville Leader, that allowed the Halland Military Personnel to be seized inside Hallville and to those that carried out the execution,” stated the General.
According to sources, General Amongstus will be aggressive on his attempts to retrieve the Halland Military Personnel that are still held against their will and recover the bodies of those that were executed.
According to a military advisor, "I believe the General will be relentless in getting these soldiers back. Not because he is receiving quite a bit of pressure from the families of those executed, but because he is passionate about his cause and believes it’ s a moral cause.”
As the General begins ratcheting up the pressure on the Hallsaw Pact, the General will most likely be reaching out to other Leaders within the Hall Nations for political solutions.
But what happens after each of the Halland Military Personnel are returned back to Halland? One citizen weighs in, "I don’t think it should matter. Someone needs to be held accountable for their actions and I applaud the General for calling out those that are responsible.”
A Leader from the HQ Combat Division stated that the war criminals could be jailed in Halland and tried in a McDonaldland military court with their sentence carried out by the Hall Republic. Although it’s unlikely that the Hallville Leader will be stepping down anytime soon, it does pressure the Hallville Government on how to respond to the General’s accusation and can even alienate the Hallsaw Pact from the rest of the Hall Nations.
