Halland City, Halland – The Halland Military has added a new Infantry Division according to sources. The 5th Mechanized Infantry Division (pictured above) has finally been added after a yearlong process.

"Tight military budgets have really put a strain on our resources,” stated an anonymous official. "We had been planning on adding two Infantry Divisions this year which was the 4th and the 5th; however, the 5th Division came to fruition first.”

According to sources, the 5th Infantry Division is a fully mechanized infantry division in which light infantry are transported by combat vehicles and armored personnel carriers (APC’s). In addition, large howitzers accompany this Division which increases the Division’s fire power.

From a personnel standpoint, the 5th Mechanized Infantry Division consists of approximately 2 Brigades unlike the other Infantry Divisions which boast 3 Brigades in each. The military personnel in this Division will consist of the tan uniform commonly used in Halland but with brown helmets.

"I would suspect that within the next 5 years, all of our Infantry Divisions will be mechanized and modernized,” stated the anonymous official. "Currently the 3rd and now the 5th Divisions are mechanized but already our Military is looking at other options. This Division is very unique in that it most likely is the most powerful infantry Division within the Hall Nations as far as fire power is concerned.”

It is unclear at this point as to where this Division will deploy but sources say it will be sooner rather than later.

Currently, the 1st Infantry Division is stationed at the DMZ. The 2nd Infantry Division is deployed near the border of Hall Republic but will soon be relieved by a reserve force. The 3rd Mechanized Infantry Division is to the North of McDonaldland overlooking Halland’s Western coast line.
