Hallville associated press:
A lot of military activity is being conducted along the DMZ between Hallville and Halland. It seems both nations are accumulating a lot of equipment along the border and running exercises. With the new deployment of Halland's 20th tank Division to the DMZ, Hallville has been keeping a watchful eye. Both militaries are equipped with technology to monitor activity on the DMZ. As to this point there has not been any border crossings.
We were allowed to talk to some of the military personnel yesterday to get their perspective on the situation.. One private quoted," At times it is pretty scary, we are so close you can here when they are doing their exercises and patrols." " I do feel pretty confident that if anything happens we are prepared. The area I am at has so much equipment here, and I know we have units just like this all along the DMZ, I think we are prepared for anything at the moment." Another soldier stated; "I remember reading of the events in the first Hall Wars, when I was younger, but there was never a build up like there is here today, kind of surreal." We were asking if any thought there might be an "invasion" type assault across the border at any given time. One sergeant commented, "Highly unlikely, we are set up in mostly defensive positions, with a couple units ready to move at a moment's notice. One thing we do not have here for that type of maneuver is, we do not have any mass staging of supplies, and most supply units are still in the interior of the country."
We were able to speak with one field commander on the border situation, and these were his words. "We have been put here to protect our people from rogue nations. We understand we have the mightiest army that is greater than all other nations combined. We could take them on at any time but we are striving for peace. We are also not into "friendship" making either. We have many concerns with Halland, and McDonaldland, and we want to make sure we do not get caught off guard. Nations like Halland make lots of threats, mostly bark and no bite, and we intend to keep it that way. If they do decide to nibble, we will be there to exterminate." We went on to ask if they had any specific orders, timelines, or any objectives they might have. He stated, "Yes we do have classified orders, that at a given time they will need to be executed. We cannot give any details at this moment but I do believe they will be made public at some time." One question that citizens have been wanting to know is, how big is our military presence at the DMZ? "BIG, I was there for the 1st HALL WAR, and there is no comparison to what we have here today. Deployed to the DMZ we have at least 6 armored divisions, 5 infantry divisions, all artillery pieces are here along with our full special forces unit, and many other units. Our border is very well secured."
