Halland News – During a meeting with the media earlier today, General Amongstus stated that a large unit of Hall Republic military personnel and equipment will soon be entering Halland; not as an invading force but rather a protective force to assist the Halland Military.
This comes on the heels after Hall Republic sent a small force to participate in joint drills with Hallville and the rest of the Hall Nations.
"We are expecting a sizable force to help facilitate the security of Halland after Hallville made a potential threat to take care of business,” stated the General. "Hall Republic Military Personnel and heavy equipment is expected to arrive soon. Part of the force (pictured above) has already arrived."
This does not surprise many since Halland and Hall Republic have ceased hostilities earlier in the year.
In fact, what is astonishing is that Hall Republic is sending a large force inside Halland despite the country’s infighting with Taliban insurgents. It’s been a relative secret, but battles with the Taliban have hindered the Hall Republic Government when it comes to international affairs. One has to wonder how this impacts Hall Republic’s ability to fight the insurgents.
However, according to military sources, the General believes that the Hallsaw Pact (Hallville and HSSR) is preparing for a possible invasion of Halland in the near future. "I believe the General is confident that Hallville and their allies are preparing for an invasion of Halland in the near future, cited a military source. "In fact, I believe the Halland Government is not taking any chances by deploying additional resources in and around the country to deter such an invasion.”
It’s also been revealed that Halland has been providing Military assistance to Hall Republic in their fight against the Taliban. "The Halland Government has provided military equipment to the Hall Republic but I am not at liberty to discuss the details of what that equipment might be. What I can tell you is that the Halland Government will continue to provide military assistance to the Hall Republic in order to defeat the Taliban,” stated the military source.
Tensions still remain at an all-time high with Hallville and HSSR although the Halland Government has not officially signed a declaration of war on either.
