Breaking News - A source earlier today informed Halland News that a unit from the Special Operations Battalion was operating inside Hallville on a mission to hunt down the four HSSR military personnel that executed ten Halland soldiers last year. According to the source, the Halland operators had intelligence that those responsible in the execution were embedded with a Hallville military patrol deep inside Hallville. The source also stated that Special Operators engaged the Hallville patrol which resulted in casualties for both sides.
As news of the story broke, General Amongstus was able to send out a press release: "Earlier today, I authorized and approved of a mission to bring those to justice that were responsible for the execution of ten Halland Soldiers last year. The intelligence obtained suggested that the four HSSR military personnel were embedded with a Hallville unit deep inside Hallville. The Delta Operators felt the mission was compromised and decided to take the initiative and engage a portion of the Hallville military unit. During the engagement, three Halland Operators were killed and one helicopter was destroyed. Though the mission did not produce the desired results, we will not cease until justice is brought to those who are responsible for the murder of ten Halland soldiers.”
With the Nation Leadership Summit in full swing, this engagement will surely ratchet up pressure within the Hall Nations. General Amongstus has also sent a message that Halland will not be intimidated by Hallville’s fire power.
Military officials have also stated that Hallville did sustain casualties in both personnel and equipment. "At the end of the day, the family members of the Hallville military members slain today must ask themselves if it is worth the sacrifice of protecting the four murderers,” cited one official. "Clearly the General will not relent until justice is served.”
