Halland News - The Halland Military will soon be sporting a new look as plans are underway to equip the soldiers with new battle dress uniforms (BDU’s). "The old tan BDU look will be going away and a new desert colored BDU with light brown stripes will take its place,” cited a military official. Some military intelligence officials claim HSSR and Halland troops share the same tan uniform and if a conflict were to erupt, that it could be very challenging on the battlefield to determine which side is which when it came to intel gathering from the skies.
At least some military units have been outfitted with the new look already (pictured below). Military personnel from the Reserve Brigades, HQ Combat Division, and 5th Mechanized Infantry Division have been observed donning the new BDU’s which equates to approximately 720 soldiers. According to military officials, the entire military will eventually get the new BDU’s, though the focus the next few weeks will be getting the 4th Mechanized Infantry Division outfitted.
"The vehicles have been getting prepped with the new BDU colors for the last several years and now we have finally begun to move on to the personnel portion of the outfitting,” claimed a military official. "I know the soldiers that currently have them are pretty excited about the new look and the ones about to get them are just as excited. However, it may take a few months to get everyone outfitted due to the extensive effort and time it takes.”
In other military news, General Amongstus has vetoed a request by Division Commanders to increase the size of the army by adding additional military personnel. The military currently operates with 2,000 soldiers in which the General deems efficient enough to provide security for Halland. Division Commanders had earlier voiced their concerns to the General about the infantry Divisions being spread too thin. The General will be meeting with the Division Commanders about their concerns again later this week.
The General is also expected to address the nation soon on the latest photo-op conducted by McDonaldland.
