Halland News – Now that the hurricane has passed, a major clean-up effort is underway throughout the impacted areas of Halland. Many down trees and debris are being removed from business and residential areas. There are some portions of Halland still flooded in which emergency crews have been observed using pumps to pump the flood waters out.
Portions of the Halland Military have joined the clean-up effort at the request of General Amongstus. Over 600 military personnel from the 2nd Infantry Division and Reserve Division have been assisting with the clean-up efforts throughout the Halland East coast. Hall Republic got in on the effort by providing trucks for transporting supplies and food to much needed areas impacted by the storm.
The rest of the military was not called upon due to deployments for national security. The 1st Infantry Division is still stationed along the DMZ while the 3rd, 4th, and 5th Mechanized Infantry Divisions are positioned along the McDonaldland border. The 17th Mechanized Infantry Division is acting as a rear guard force that is supplying the Divisions near McDonaldland.
