Halland News – Early this morning at approximately 1:30 AM, soldiers from the 1st Infantry Division heard an explosion on the Halland side of the DMZ. Fearing invasion, the entire Division quickly readied themselves for an attack that never came. As the night skies gave way to the light of the sun, evidence suggested that a landmine had exploded. The Halland Military scanned the minefield with drones searching for clues and discovered a dismembered body perhaps belonging to that of a Hallville soldier.

"According to drone video, we cannot confirm if this was a Hallville soldier,” stated the 1st Infantry Division Commander. "If it was a Hallville soldier, it may have been a defector who was attempting to cross the DMZ to safety due to the living conditions there.”

The 1st Infantry Division Commander also stated that due to safety reasons, military personnel would not retrieve the body. On Halland’s side of the DMZ lies a minefield that’s designed to deter a Hallville invasion. Over 300 military personnel from the 1st Infantry Division provide security along the DMZ with the support of two tank divisions. Several miles to the east, a Hall Republic Force also provides support to those troops stationed along the DMZ.

If indeed this was a Hallville soldier, he may have had the right idea by fleeing after the Hall Republic Leader called for unification against Hallville and their nuclear arsenal. Many military officials believe there will be a crack down on Hallville's nuclear threat.
