Halland News – The Halland Government in conjunction with the military put out an official statement and photos regarding the engagement with Hallville forces over the weekend.
"On 2/26/21, the 14th Mechanized Infantry Division with the support of Hall Republic’s Elite Guard were patrolling in Evelynland when shots were fired. We were able to identify where the shots came from and engaged immediately. As we engaged, the adversary also engaged with an outpouring of small arms fire and tank munitions. We were pinned down momentarily until we received support in the form of missile strikes on enemy positions. After the missile strikes, the adversary pulled back which allowed us to move upon the position in which Halland and Hall Republic forces were fired from. That’s when we discovered deceased bodies and destroyed combat vehicles belonging to Hallville. The 14th Mechanized Infantry Division suffered five fatalities, several wounded, lost two combat tanks, and lost one attack Humvee. The Hall Republic did not suffer any casualties during the engagement.”
With an official statement out, military sources advised Halland news that all five fatalities occurred during the engagement with Hallville forces. According to the source, three Halland soldiers were killed when a tank round hit their Humvee. One other soldier was killed by small arms fire and another soldier later died from his wounds after a tank shell landed next to his position. Two Halland tanks were destroyed by Hallville tank rounds. The soldiers that were wounded are expected to make a full recovery according to the source.
General Amongstus has been in contact with his military commanders because there is reason to believe that Hallville purposely ambushed Halland troops. In addition, Hallville troops were banned from attending the Hall Nations Leadership Summit but snuck into Evelynland anyway. However, it seems as though Halland forces landed a few shots of their own as Hallville possibly took on more severe casualties and lost a few combat vehicles during the engagement.
