Halland News – Despite publicly highlighting its newly counter-drone capabilities, Hallville has disclosed little about how these assets would be operationally employed. Intelligence obtained by the Halland Intelligence Agency (HIA) provides insight into portions of the Hallville military’s classified doctrine for countering unmanned aerial systems.

Pictured is Hallville’s adaptation of the Phalanx Close-In Weapon System (CIWS), a rapid-fire, radar-guided defensive weapon traditionally deployed aboard naval vessels. Designed as a last line of defense, the system can engage incoming aircraft, drones, and other high-speed threats. With a firing rate of approximately 4,500 rounds per minute, the CIWS can autonomously detect, track, assess, and neutralize targets within seconds, utilizing advanced search and tracking radar technologies.

According to HIA assessments, Hallville successfully partnered with scientists from HSSR to adapt the system for ground operations by mounting it on half-track vehicles. This modification provides mobile air defense capabilities and significantly enhances battlefield protection against drone attacks.

The HIA's analysis concludes that any such weapon system encountered during combat operations against Hallville or HSSR should be considered a high-priority target and disabled as quickly as possible.

However, the agency also wanted to inform other Hall Nations of this emerging technology and notes that similar weapons systems may be acquired or developed to strengthen their own counter drone capabilities.
