Halland News – The Halland military has confirmed the deployment of the 13th Mechanized Infantry Division to Southern Halland in support of an extended series of military exercises, according to the division’s commanding officer.
Elements of the 13th Mechanized Infantry Division—recognizable by their distinctive green helmets—were observed departing in organized convoys earlier this week. The division is supported by armored units, including tanks and artillery, significantly enhancing its operational capabilities. Authorities implemented temporary road closures along several routes to facilitate the safe and uninterrupted movement of military vehicles and personnel.
Military officials stated that the exercises are expected to continue for several months and will involve large-scale maneuver, coordination, and readiness operations. The 13th Mechanized Infantry Division is the largest formation within the Halland military in terms of manpower and constitutes a core component of the nation’s ground forces.
