Halland Military Recieves Gifts For Christmas

Halland City, Halland – As all of Halland opened up presents on Christmas Day yesterday, the Halland Military also received gifts. The gifts received were not toys but instead, military hardware. A Total of 13 brand new halftrack Armored Personnel Carriers (APC’s) were added to the military which are the first of their kind. "The halftrack APC’s are going towards a new mechanized Infantry Division,” cited a government official. "The APC’s can hold up to 15 soldiers each and has a heavy machine gun mounted in the front for fire suppression support.”

In addition, 13 refurbished Humvees have also been designated towards the new Infantry Division along with 6 reassigned artillery pieces. The Humvees were recently used by the 3rd Mechanized Infantry Division, but due to the influx of new APC’s in that Division, the Halland Military decided to reallocate the Humvees to a new Division. The majority of the Humvees are still lacking guns for each vehicle.

The new Division is suspected to be the 4th Mechanized Infantry Division. According to the government official, the Division is far from being completed. "Roughly 300 infantrymen are expected to join the new Division which is already in the process of being trained,” said the official.

Once complete, the Halland Military will consist of three mechanized Infantry Divisions (3rd , 4th, and 5th) and two Heavy Infantry Divisions in the 1st and 2nd. The General has stated previously that eventually all Infantry Divisions will be mechanized at some point within the next 3-5 years.

During the past year, the Halland Military has added a substantial amount of equipment and vehicles to its arsenal which will boost the overall fire power to the military.
