Scaleback Of Forces Near DMZ

Halland News – Earlier today, it was reported that the majority of Halland’s Head Quarters (HQ’s) Combat Division has scaled back resources from the DMZ and are in route to Halland City where they are stationed. According to a military source, "A remnant of the Division will remain near the DMZ to support the 1st Infantry Division and the two Tank Divisions forward deployed.”

Pictures of the small convoy were taken by residents which are listed below. Other residents stated that additional convoys were observed leaving the DMZ area at nightfall and earlier this morning but no pictures were taken.

The VT-22 Tanks are portions of the HQ Combat Division that are suspected to remain near the DMZ considering their effectiveness in knocking out enemy armor and fighting positions which has been deemed a lethal weapon in Halland’s arsenal.

The HQ’s Combat Division houses Halland’s advance missile defense systems which also has an array of offensive firepower as well. The division boasts over 150 military personnel which is by far Halland’s smallest division.

It is suspected that the scale back of this division is due to the diminished threat of invasion by the Hallsaw Pact. The Halland Government has not commented on the scale back of forces near the DMZ although a sizable force still remains. Both the 10th and 15th Tank Divisions are still located near the DMZ along with the 1st Infantry Division. Elements of the Field Artillery Division also remain deployed near the DMZ.

Overlooking the Halland West Coast towards HSSR is the 2nd Infantry Division, 20th Tank Division, and elements of the Field Artillery Division. On the North coast of Halland, Hall Republic units have set up defenses to thwart any landing force from establishing a beachhead.
