Halland City, Halland – Earlier today, General Amongstus announced that the War on HSSR has been lifted but sanctions will remain in place for some time. Ever since HSSR’s surrender to Hallville, the General has been mulling over options and felt it was the right decision to make.

Currently, Halland is in a state of war with Hall Republic although action has not been taken in almost a year. One military advisor stated that the Halland Military was ill-prepared to fight on two fronts; Suggesting that was why a military response to the takeover of Annabelle was delayed. But with the war over with HSSR, one can only speculate as to when the Halland Military goes on the offensive.

However, the military advisor did hint at the notion that they will still be keeping an eye on HSSR but not necessarily on the country’s leadership, but of Hallville’s. Though the war didn’t last long, Hallville will be keeping a strong force inside HSSR to squash any type of rebellion. In fact, Hallville has taken control of most HSSR military equipment.

In addition, the HIA (Halland Intelligence Agency) has observed that Hallville is still purchasing a substantial amount of tanks and jeeps.

"Certainly this raises eyebrows,” stated an HIA analyst. "One has to wonder why Hallville is investing in offensive military equipment at a rapid pace. In fact, we’ve seen this before inside HSSR and knew what their intentions were all along."

As the HIA continues to monitor Hallville Military spending, it appears the Halland Military isn't taking any chances with the deployment of an extra Tank Division and additional artillery batteries positioned near the DMZ. Those units join the 1st Infantry Division and 10th Tank Division which are currently deployed at the DMZ.
