Southwest, Halland – The Halland Military has cleared roughly 60% of the mountainous terrain in the operation against the Militia. Two weeks into the fight, Halland’s 2nd Infantry Division is making significant progress but suffered their first casualties of the operation. According to the 2nd Infantry Division Commander, a vehicle carrying two Halland Military Personnel from the 2nd Infantry Division took a direct hit from an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) which injured both. One soldier was badly wounded and in critical condition and was rushed to the Halland Medical Center in Halland City. The other soldier suffered minor scrapes and burns and was released. Due to family members not yet identified, the soldiers identities are not yet known.
The 2nd Infantry Division Commander did weigh in about the complications of clearing tunnels and their remedy for it. "We have found some success with the deployment of Flame Thrower teams clearing tunnels which we believe has made an impact. I can assure you, the Militia doesn’t care too much for the tactic.”
General Amongstus stated earlier that he was hopeful that Military Operations would soon come to an end. "I am very optimistic that Military Operations against the Militia will soon come to an end. To date, the Militia has taken on significant casualties that include 29 dead. Intelligence reporting also indicates at least 10 to 15 more had been wounded. I am proud of what our 2nd Infantry Division has been able to accomplish and I look forward to more of their achievements.”
