Halland Government Signs Decree; Gives General Amongstus Authority Over Military and State Police

Halland News – As of tomorrow, General Amongstus will have complete power and authority over the Halland Military and Halland State Police according to government officials. Government officials signed off on the decree after a credible threat was obtained from the Halland Intelligence Agency of a possible invasion into Halland by Hallville and HSSR. The signed decree now dictates that the General has authority to conduct the following for up to one year beginning on May 4, 2019.

1. Defend the country at all cost utilizing all resources available which include the military and State Police.
2. Has the authority to conduct a preemptive strike to eliminate any invasion threat before it begins.
3. Activate reserves.

As of now, Military Commanders have stated that they are looking forward to working with the General which puts all options on the table when it comes to meeting this threat. "No offense to any government officials, but with the signing of this decree, we are able to explore more options when it comes to dealing with this threat,” said the 13th Mechanized Infantry Division Commander. "We believe having the preemptive strike capability added in the decree is a desired tactic in dealing with threats to our country.”

Also added in the decree is the ability for the General to activate reserve units. The Reserve Infantry Division was deactivated earlier in the year after fulfilling its duty which transitioned into the 6th Infantry Division. It’s estimated that the General could activate up to 500 additional military personnel at his disposal though plans to do so are not under way at this time according to one military source.

Just yesterday, the Hallville Government finally apologized for the detention of Halland Representatives that occurred last July but seem to be pretty much in denial about other things. "The fake apology kind of goes out the window when you threaten to invade someone. Besides, the HIA has already traced the invasion intelligence back to Hallville,” said the military source. "If and when Hallville or HSSR begin to make a move, we will have already known about it.”

Meanwhile, Halland’s 13th Mechanized Infantry Division (pictured below) has increased patrols along the Halland / Evelynland border after Hallville media outlets circulated pictures of a joint training exercise inside Evelynland involving McDonaldland troops. The Hallville force that was operating inside Evelynland appeared to be a sizable force but has since withdrawn back to Hallville.
