Halland News – As Christmas soon falls on Halland, many Halland military personnel are spending time away from their families. Among those spending time away from their families for the holidays is the 13th Mechanized Infantry Division. Pictured above, a small patrol from the 13th Mechanized Infantry Division provides security on a road that leads to Evelynland. The Division was among those that came from a recent deployment near the McDonaldland border which has been redeployed to the southwest of Halland City and along the quiet border of Evelynland. Replacing them on the McDonaldland border was the 17th Mechanized Infantry Division.

Although the last military conflict involving the Halland Military was nearly 3 years ago, the military has to maintain combat readiness. However, the soldiers do appreciate the quiet times and the ability to spend time with their families. "Being along the border of McDonaldland was pretty stressful. We would wake up each day wondering if that day was going to be the day a new conflict would erupt,” cited a soldier from that Division. The soldier further added, "We would always have to be on alert. Now, it’s more about patrolling a new area and less stressful.”

Aside the political rhetoric from the Leaders of select Hall Nations, this unusual quiet period is uplifting to the soldiers. "Any day without war is a good thing,” another soldier added. On the other hand, I understand the cost of serving my country and keeping it safe from others who wish to destroy us.”

Merry Christmas Halland, and Merry Christmas to those serving this great country!
