Halland Soldier Critically Injured During Training Excercise


Halland News – Earlier tonight, a soldier from the 17th Mechanized Infantry Division was injured in a training accident according to the Commander of that Division. No specifics were given by the Commander on how the soldier was injured but the injury required medivac. Below is the press release issued by the 17th Mechanized Infantry Division Commander:

"The entire Division was on a training mission which began earlier this evening and during the mission, one of our soldiers was critically injured. He was air lifted to the hospital in Halland City. We are saddened by this unfortunate injury and are keeping him and his family in our thoughts and prayers. The soldier is expected to make a full recovery but this type of injury may keep him from performing further military duties. I want to personally thank him for his brave service and hope he gets better soon”

The 17th Mechanized Infantry Division is Halland’s newest Division and has recently been signed off by General Amongstus as being combat ready. The Division was recently on the outskirts of Halland City while under construction but deployed yesterday to an undisclosed location for training exercises.
