Hall Republic and Halland Conduct Joint Military Exercise

Halland News – Halland and Hall Republic troops conducted a joint military exercise, dubbed Operation Protectorate, which finished up this week. The joint exercise’s mission was to push back an invading force crossing into Halland from the DMZ. Approximately 800 military personnel from Halland’s 1st Infantry Division, HQ Combat Division, and Hall Republic took part in Operation Protectorate as well as Tanks and other heavy equipment from both countries. According to the 1st Infantry Division Commander, this was the first time that Hall Republic troops conducted a joint military exercise of this size. "We had a good week of training which allowed us to rehearse our response in the event an invading force crossed into Halland from the DMZ,” cited the 1st Infantry Division Commander.

According to the Halland military, General Amongstus and Sir Plots A lot (Hall Republic’s Leader) agreed to hold a joint military exercise which focused on the security of Halland near the DMZ. Halland’s 1st Infantry Division, elements of the HQ Combat Division, and the 10th and 15th Tank Divisions currently provide security near the DMZ. They are supported by a large Hall Republic Force just to their east although it’s been relatively secretive on how large this force is or isn’t. The Halland military has stayed quite on how many combat personnel and equipment from Hall Republic is actually deployed inside Halland but have made it very clear that this force operates as a counteroffensive to any invasion force crossing into Halland from the DMZ. In translation, this Hall Republic Force has been deployed only near the DMZ and not anywhere else inside Halland.

Some military experts believe that Halland is using this military exercise as a show of force as both Hallville and HSSR leaders will be meeting up in the next few days. One military expert weighed in and said, "I don’t think this military exercise will have the desired effect that the Halland military wants it to have on Hallville or even McDonaldland, but it does show those select countries that Hall Republic and Halland are very capable of defending Halland. In fact, I think it would be disastrous for Hallville or any other adversary to invade Halland through the DMZ.”
