Halland News – The Halland Military has temporarily closed the McDonaldland / Halland border crossing. According to a government source, the Halland Government is attempting to keep McDonaldland citizens from crossing the border illegally into Halland. Currently a wall is getting erected to deter such activity.
It’s also noteworthy that elements of Halland’s 5th Mechanized Infantry Division were observed (pictured below) providing security of the border crossing. One resident stated that there was a large amount of military equipment within a half mile from the border crossing. "I saw some tanks, troop transport vehicles, and other military vehicles just north of here,” cited the resident. "I guess they are here to keep us safe.”
If the entire 5th Mechanized Infantry Division is deployed near the McDonaldland border, they will also join the 3rd Mechanized Infantry Division which has been deployed near the McDonaldland border for nearly five months. With both divisions forward deployed, that would mean the Halland Military will comprise of nearly 600 military personnel at the border of McDonaldland. That almost doubles the amount of military personnel located at the DMZ which borders Halland and Hallville. To be fair, the Halland Military does have other units staged further from the DMZ to help support the 1st Infantry Division stationed at the DMZ.
Government sources stated that, "there are no military exercises planned with any country in the near future,” when Halland News inquired about the deployment of the 5th Mechanized Infantry Division to the McDonaldland border. Most analysts believe that the additional deployment is to help provide extra security along the DMZ while the wall is getting built. However, there is little documented evidence to suggest that McDonaldland citizens are illegally crossing the border into Halland. Halland News only found one documented incident in which a McDonaldland soldier was accidentally abandoned by his military unit in Halland which occurred several month ago. He was safely sent back to McDonaldland after General Amongstus canceled his military tribunal and it was determined he was not a spy.
