Week 15 Review

Week 15 Review Written by David The College Football regular season ended with Championship weekend in the books. However, Week 15 did deliver some shockers. The Hoosiers stunned Ohio State 13-10 to win their first outright Big Ten title since 1945. Indiana finished 13-0 and earned the No. 1 overall seed in the playoffs. Ohio State dropped to No. 2 but still secured a first-round bye. Georgia dominated Alabama 28-7 in the SEC ...

Week 14 Review

Week 14 Review Written by David Rivalry Week delivered high drama and major playoff implications across the country. The biggest headline came from Ann Arbor, where Ohio State snapped its four-game skid against Michigan with a commanding 27-9 victory, keeping the Buckeyes unbeaten and firmly in control of the Big Ten race. I also saved you about 10-minutes of your time because if Wendi would have written this column, it would be dedicated to ...

Week 13 Review

Week 13 Review Written by David Overall, all the teams in the College Football Playoff top 14 won and most doing so convincingly. Especially Notre Dame’s 70-7 demolition of Syracuse who to no surprise is looking for style points. However, conference championship games are starting to become a bit clearer. Texas Tech and BYU are the clear frontrunners and are expected to meet in the Big 12 Title game barring major upsets. ...

Week 12 Review

Week 12 Review Written by Wendi While the SEC recovers during Cupcake Week, the SEC suffered some top 10 blows over this past weekend. You know how Georgia can’t seem to beat Alabama? Well, it appears that Alabama can’t beat Oklahoma. For the second year in a row, the 11 th ranked Sooners have upset 4 th ranked Bama. This time, the Sooners’ defense shined with three turnovers with one being a pick six and went on ...

"Week 11 Review” Written by Wendi There were some scares over the weekend for top ranked teams. Indiana scored a touchdown (by a toe) with under a minute to go to put them in the lead against Penn State, Oregon skated by with a late field goal against Iowa. It took overtime for Louisville to beat unranked Cal. It also took overtime for Vandy to beat Auburn. Wake Forest beat 14 th ranked Virginia. Wisconsin ...

Week 10 Review

"Week 10 Review” Written by Wendi For those that celebrate, I hope you had a great Halloween. If you did go trick-or-treating, how many people did you see dressed up as Michael Myers? I know me and Sam saw quite a few. I thought to myself, "was it a bad omen for what was to come the next day?” There were some teams that just didn’t seem that scary after all. Georgia had quite the ...

"Week 9 Review” Written by Wendi Unlike the previous two weeks, there were no upsets in the top 10. However there has been a major coaching shift. Brian Kelly is out at LSU and so is his OC/QB Coach Joe Sloan. He has over a $50 million buyout which is being negotiated. I would love to coach just to get fired and still have that kind of money owed to me. Brian Kelly’s departure came ...

"Week 8 Recap” Written by Wendi Well, four more top 10 teams went down over the weekend. It started Friday night when Louisville stormed into Miami and put on a defensive show and forced four Miami turnovers. Carson Beck looked like the Carson Beck we all remembered at Georgia. Louisville won 24-21. It was not on the picks but Arizona State hosted 7 th ranked Texas Tech and the Red Raiders struggled offensively with only ...

Week 7 Review

Week 7 Review Written by David We’re about halfway through the Pick’ems contest! So, let’s review what happened in Week 7. The Buckeyes turned turnovers into touchdowns like a magician pulling rabbits from hats. Illinois blinked, and Ohio State made them pay—34-16. Julian Sayin was sharp, but it was the defense that said, "We’ll take that ball, thank you.” Alabama’s Ty Simpson played hero ball, tossing three TDs and sealing the win with a fourth-down dagger. Missouri’s 15-game ...

Week 6 Review Written by David Week 6 of the 2025 college football season delivered a buffet of upsets, redemption arcs, and playoff shakeups that had fans, and even some of us, screaming at their TVs. The headline-grabber was UCLA, who went from winless to world-shockers by stunning No. 7 Penn State 42–37.
“Week 4 Recap”

The day started with a ranked matchup between Texas Tech traveling to Utah. It appeared that in the first half, neither team seemed to want to do anything on offense. Both teams combined for four turnovers in the first half alone and Texas Tech had a 10-3 lead at the half. Both teams still struggled on offense in the third quarter but Texas Tech opened it up in the 4 th quarter and outscored Utah ...

"Week 2 Recap” Written by Wendi I know I am not the only one still trying to gauge teams. This was a very difficult week for the picks. At least in my opinion. About half of the games on the picks were decided by one score. It’s no shocker that the matchup between the Iowa’s was low scoring and full of field goals. Only one touchdown was scored and there was only 452 yards ...

Rivalry Week Written by David You’re in luck that Wendi’s not writing the article this week.
Week 13 Review

Panic Week Written by David This was a monstrous week in college football. There were some bigtime upsets that will shake up the college football playoff landscape. Especially in the SEC. #7 Alabama was whacked by unranked Oklahoma and lost 24-3. Florida upended #9 Ole Miss 24-17 in a shocker, and Auburn stunned #15 Texas A&M 43-41 in four overtimes.
Week 8 Review

"Where do I begin?” Written by Wendi What a brutal week. I am glad that it is over but I know this week’s picks are looming and doubt they are any easier. The first couple of games featured an undefeated team. Undefeated Miami travelled to Louisville, and it was a back-and-forth game until the last few minutes of the game. The Hurricanes escaped the upset, winning 52-45 and is on pace with ...

Week 7 Review

House of Horrors Written by David Week 7 was horrifying for a bunch of us. More on that in a moment, but let’s briefly recap what happened on Saturday. This week’s games featured the power 4 conferences. Things continue to go south in the ACC for North Carolina who’s on a four-game losing skid after losing to Georgia Tech 41-34. The Tar Heels are now 0-3 in conference play. In the newly formed ...

Week 6 Review

"Burn It Allllll Down” (as Adam would say) Written by Wendi What a Saturday! If you were ranked in the top 11 and had a road game, it did not look good. There were five upsets, and it took a 25-point deficit and a miracle for Miami to come storming back late in the game to shock Cal. College Football is awesome. Texas A&M hosted 9 th ranked Missouri and it was all Aggies ...

Week 5 Review

"October Eve” Written by Wendi Well, here we are on the last day of September and what can I say, it surely has been an interesting College Football season so far. I am sure we can all agree that NIL has drastically changed everything. You have folks sitting out now because they are not getting what was promised. I mean I get it, but at the same time, you are part of a team. ...

Week 4 Review

"Auburn Sucks, They Really, Really Do” Written by Wendi West Virginia was down going into the long weather delay but came back to win 32-28 once playing resumed. I am starting to think West Virginia needs to have a closed-in stadium. This is their second weather delay this year. Raise your hand if you honestly thought Clemson would blow out NC State? After struggling all season, I did not think it was possible. ...

Week 3 Review

"Winner, Winner, Cheater Dinner??” Written by Wendi After a slow start in Madison in the first quarter, Bama was able to shake off the cobwebs and get to work. Not to anyone’s surprise, Bama beat the Badgers 42-10. If there is any indication between that game and Sam’s football game, it may have looked like Bama was playing Sam’s 12U team. Sam’s team lost 41-0. It was so bad they shortened the 3 rd and ...

Week 2 Review

"Alright, Alright, Alright” Well, those mighty Longhorns sure have something to brag about. NOT. I am still not convinced Texas is back. They beat a lackluster Michigan team who is still trying to figure out their identity and who lost just about all of their starters and at least 6 or 8 coaches. Anyone with half a brain knew Michigan was going to lose and probably lose bad. But it was only 31-12. So ...
