The Bible is full of rich content that you could say it is impossible to have a favorite Bible verse. With such verses like John 3:16 that most people can quote, you would assume that while the whole content of the Bible can be considered the "favorite” verse/passage at any given time. Certain content will be more personal or relatable depending what situations of life we find ourselves on any given day. But at times we will find that there are certain scriptures we tend to always fall back on for comfort, inspiration or even motivation.

My favorite verse is Psalm 55:22. "Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.”

A couple things stand out to me when I look upon this verse.

Number 1 is he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, "For he hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.” Because Jesus became sin for us, He has made us righteous. That means I am right standing with God. All His promises are now given to me. This is a very important FACT that us Christians need to grab hold of. There are many verses talking about us being the righteousness of God. We need to stand firm and really grasp what Jesus has done and how it greatly affects how our Father in Heaven looks at us. We are Righteous in God’s eye.

The second thing that stands out is to cast my burdens upon the Lord. The Bible clearly tells us we will go through trials and tribulation. (John 16:33). But Jesus has overcome these that we may have peace through these times. The Bible tells us to be planted on solid foundation. An unstable foundation will not hold up under stress and tribulation. But a sound foundation will stand firm and not be moved. (Luke 6:46-49) I understand that there will be things that happen in life that I will find frustrating, but Psalm 55:22 gives me the hope to be able to endure anything that comes along.

More reference verses.

2 Corinthians 8:2

1 Peter 1:7

Romans 12:12

James 1:2

1 Timothy 6:19

I would love to hear what your favorite verse is and why.

I like Luke 18:25. Why,? Because it has always fascinated me on how Jesus used that term. I need you to go into that a little deeper so one can understand why a rich person can't get into heaven.

I like Mark 10:27. Why? It reminds me to not look at the physical circumstances around me. But to focus on God and his power.

God wants us to know that whatever burden we are going thru, it will never be too difficult for us to bear. Even in the worst day, we can find rest in Him. Sometimes it is hard for us to realize that or understand it. He gives us a peace only He can give to us thru our petitions and prayers. How on earth could Jesus be so calm in the Garden of Gethsemane knowing what was happening and he knew it would be leading to his suffering and death? I want to have that kind of trust in God. Jesus knew the strength in his prayers. God gave him peace. In every circumstance we need to trust God.

1st Corinthians chapter 10 verse 13 "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." God will never give us more than He knows we can handle.

I like Isaiah 41:10. No matter what you are going through, no matter how down and out you are, he will always be there whether it be to talk/pray to, or just to know he is there and that things will get better. Just knowing that will get you through anything.

Isaiah 41:10 "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." Yep, that's a great one .
