Now that we are full into the Holiday Season, we will be focusing on the birth of Jesus. Too often we only look at the actual moments of His birth, today, we will start on the prophesy of His birth.

Let us take a look at these.

Micah 5:2     But thou, Beth-lehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

Isaiah 7:14     Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Isaiah 9:6        For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Matthew 1:23   The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel

From the very beginning when God created the Earth, the stage was already set for the first coming of Christ. It was already in God’s plan that His Son would have to come and save the world from their sins. We can do the blame game by say way to go Adam and Eve, but God already knew we would need a Savior. In the Old Testament and New Testament the prophets foretold this coming of Jesus.

If you were living in these times and heard these types of prophesies, would you be able to comprehend, believe them. Especially when being told a virgin will be giving birth. What about, God’s Son would be living among us. He would save the word from their transgressions. These are interesting concepts that now that we know how they have played out, I can only imagine what our thought process would be at that time.

Today is a short little Study. Would love to hear your comments.
