This was the First annual Iron bowl played in beautiful Spokane Washington. This was the start of the annual tradition. Though the first game was not organized very well it was still played and played well. The game is going down as a tie in the records books. Auburn won the actual regulation game but being the score was so lopsided decided to play the next who scores is the winner. After saying this, Alabama was the next team to score. Having said all this, players were continually switching teams to even things out. So it was decided by the IBC that the first game goes as a tie for both teams.
This is the game that Gretchen took a QB sneak for the distance against Auburn. A truly amazing play.
