Spokane, Washington- What looked like a lopsided affair before the match-up began between Auburn and Alabama turned into a hard hitting contest featuring big plays, violent collisions, and high octane offenses.

Auburn opened up the scoring on their second drive from scrimmage which ended on a 2-yard run from Mike Hall. Jonathon Hall found the end zone from 3-yards out to make the two point conversion and make it a 8-0 game.

Alabama also scored twice in the first quarter as QB David Hall scored on design runs from 9-yards, and 15-yards but missing both two point conversions. Auburn would again tack on another score this time through the air with Teddy Hall on the receiving end to finish the 1st quarter leading 14-12.

Alabama's D.J. Saldana scored on a 1-yard TD reception in the 2nd quarter to get the Tide back on top 20-14. But the Tigers would again respond with Teddy Hall catching his second TD pass from a couple yards out and convert the 2 point conversion to push the Auburn lead 22-20.

Alabama reclaimed the lead after Marc Hall caught a 15-yard strike to head into halftime with a 26-24 Bama lead.

After much needed defensive adjustments on both sides, the 3rd quarter's only score came from Auburn's Mike Hall on a QB scramble that went down the sideline for a score which put the Tigers back on top 32-26.

Alabama rallied by scoring 20 points in the final quarter which involved the game winning score from WR Gretchen Hall who had not caught a pass the entire game. After dropping a pass on the previous play, Gretchen would not miss the next one and out raced Auburn defenders to the end zone. A unanimous vote was taken and Gretchen was the game's MVP after the heroic play. Auburn's only score in the 4th quarter was a short TD pass from Mike to Teddy that saw Auburn reclaim a 38-32 lead. From there it was all Alabama. The Tide defense finally buckled down and thwarted two late Auburn drives and barely escaped 46-38.

The Tide receivers were held to only 6 receptions although half of them were TD's which became a game low. The Auburn passing attack shredded the Tide defense with 15 completions for 80-yards and 3 TD's through the air. Auburn's Teddy Hall had 11 receptions for 61 yards and 3 TD's despite breaking two ribs according to medical personnel. Priscilla and Jonathon combined had 4 receptions for 19-yards.
